Louise Grunwaldt

Nurse

Lou is a highly experienced and compassionate Credentialed Mental Health Nurse (ACMHN) and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (ANZAED) based in Ballarat, Victoria. She provides integrative, creative, and person-centred mental health therapy and counselling. With over 17 years of experience in mental health, Lou is currently completing her studies to become a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She specialises in supporting individuals — particularly young people and young adults — with anxiety, disordered eating and body image concerns, chronic illness, disability, neuro-complexity, and life transitions. She also offers inclusive support for parents and carers. Lou’s approach is empathetic, authentic, non-judgemental, and good-humoured. She blends trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic modalities and offers sessions both in person and via telehealth. Lou celebrates diversity and is committed to creating a welcoming and safe space for all.

Mark O'Brien

Social Worker

Mark is a qualified social worker who recently joined the BMMH team. He brings a strong commitment to person-centred care, with a passion for supporting individuals through complex mental health challenges.

Mark has over 30 years clinical experience in clinical social work specialising in health specifically since 2001. He is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
He is passionate about men’s health and helping men negotiate their identity and demonstrate their ability to create meaningful change.

Mark has extensive experience in assisting individuals, families and carers with bereavement, grief and loss, illness, emotional and physical trauma, drug and alcohol issues, acquired brain injury, cognitive decline, sexual assault, disability, homelessness, aged care, anxiety, depression and mental health conditions.
