Our Ballarat Men’s Mental Health Golf Day is back again. Get your swing in order and make a booking. 

It will be held at the Ballarat Golf Club on Friday, November 10.

With a shotgun start from 1 pm, we’re expecting more than 100 male and female golfers to compete for the coveted “Gold Jacket”.

There’ll be nearest-the-pin and longest-drive opportunities as well. But it’s not all about fierce competition. It is a fun day of healthy sport to raise funds so we can provide the services across our community to the men who need them most.

To fuel up before you strike a blow there’ll be a barbecue beginning at 11 am. During the round, a drinks cart will be plying further refreshments to those in need. Bring yourself or come with a bunch of your buddies for a fun day out where there is sure to be much laughter, some utter golfing frustration and, perhaps, a bit of colourful language as the odd shot goes astray. Just don’t be surprised if you get ‘fined’!

The day will conclude with an after-function at the clubhouse commencing around 5.30-6.00 pm. Drinks will be at bar prices and delicious finger food will be supplied. There will be an auction, a wine wall for those looking to stock up their cellar and, of course, the prize presentation, including the Gold Jacket for the overall winner.

Swing into Spring at our second Ballarat Men’s Mental Health (BMMH) Golf Day on Friday 11 November, to be held at the Ballarat Golf Club. Up to 200 keen golfers will vie for the coveted ‘Gold Jacket’ as they putt, drive and dribble their way across the course in aid of local mental health support.

With a shotgun start at 12 noon, participants can fuel up at a barbecue beginning at 11am. And, as 18 holes is definitely thirsty work, a drinks cart will sell drinks on-course to those in need. Come on your own or gather your buddies to have a fun day out where there is sure to be much laughter, a few tears and, dare we say it, a bit of colorful language as the odd shot goes astray. Just don’t be surprised if you get ‘fined’!

The day’s frivolities will continue at an after-function, to be held at Oscars, 18 Doveton Street, Ballarat Central, commencing around 5.30-6.00pm. Drinks will be at bar prices and delicious finger food will be supplied. There will be raffles, door prizes and trophies presented on the night, not to mention awarding of the coveted and prestigious Gold Jacket to the day’s ‘winners are grinners’ player. Come along and join us and be part of the change – it may help someone you love.

The Ballarat Golf Club is well-known for its popular RUOK Golf Day and this year has chosen to throw its support behind BMMH to help raise awareness of this vital initiative. The Club’s goal is to help recruit 2,000 ongoing, $2-a-week, donors to help pay for mental health support staff at BMMH. It’s this kind of community support that will influence the government to put its weight – and funding – behind the BMMH initiative.

Drinks will be at bar prices and delicious finger food will be supplied at around $30 per head. There will be raffles, door prizes and trophies presented on the night, not to mention awarding of the coveted and prestigious Gold Jacket to the day’s ‘winners are grinners’ player. Come along and join us and be part of the change – it may help someone you love.

Obviously, this event could be affected by any COVID-19 restrictions put in place at the time.

Non-members: $30 per head. We have also placed an extra $10 per head Compulsory Donation for all Golfers playing on the day as a donation to the Ballarat Men’s Mental Health to give our Fundraising A Boost.
